Winter in Glencoe, 5-10 December 2022 - 1 place available
Winter in Glencoe and Rannoch Moor, Scotland
5th - 10th December 2022
£1395pp
Deposit £250
Glencoe is beautiful, dramatic and undoubtedly one of my favourite areas of Scotland – and as it’s only 2 hours drive from home, I know the area well. Spending a number of days here gives us the opportunity to really explore Glencoe in some depth - and at this time of year, there is a fair chance of snow on the mountains, making it even more photogenic.
During this workshop we will have 4 full days to explore some amazing locations, such as
• Rannoch Moor, with its various trees and islands on both Loch Ba and Lochan na h-achlaise
• Buachaille Etive Mor and the three sisters of Glencoe
• Glen Etive, with its waterfalls and lochans
• Loch Achtriochtan and its amazing reflections
• Loch Awe and Kilchurn Castle
• Castle Stalker
After sunset, or if the weather is poor, we can spend some time processing images to maximise their potential.
Our base for this workshop will be the Clachaig Inn, just north of Glencoe village. This inn is well placed for most of the locations that we will visit and has an excellent restaurant. We will meet at the Clachaig Inn at lunchtime on 5th December. If you are flying to Glasgow airport on the morning of 5th December I may be able to pick you up depending on your arrival time. We will have dawn to dust photography thereafter, assuming the winter weather allows.
